What We Do
The Encinitas Lifesaving Association is the nonprofit arm of the Encinitas Ocean Lifeguards, serving our community by promoting water safety awareness, providing learn to swim programs for youth in underserved communities, and supporting professional education in open water lifesaving standards.
We've accomplished a lot in 2022, with more to come:
1200+
Junior Lifeguard Participants
29,700+
Water Rescues & Preventative Contacts
$1500+
First Responder Education Grants
The Encinitas Lifesaving Association is on a mission to make San Diego's North County beaches and ocean enjoyable for all.
ELA Grant Recipients
Every year, a portion of membership dues and donations to the Encinitas Lifesaving Association are given out as First Responder Grants, helping to support professional training and education. Meet a few of the Encinitas Lifeguards and ELA grant recipients working to keep North County beaches safe.
